Recently I have been listening to The Verve’s album Urban
Hymns, I discovered their songs from my brother’s music and I think its okay. A
decent amount of the songs on the album aren’t that good, and their voices can
be sort of monotone and boring. But the songs that I actually thought were good
were really good, I really enjoyed Bittersweet Symphony and Lucky Man,
Bittersweet Symphony is one of my favorite songs now. Hopefully I can find some
more good songs by them.
Man do I love that album. I love a lot of that 90's brit pop, Pulp's great album Different Class, earlier Blur (Parklife is a standout), there's so much from that era of Britain's history that's great. I also really love Travis's first few albums.
